Compilation of the best and the sassiest from Wills India Fashion Week Spring Summer 2014
Anupama Dayal
Designer Anupama Dayal showcased her “Gulabi” collection where she beautifully captured the colors of spring. This very pink collection had sarees, Palazzo trousers, long & short dresses, skirts with floral headgear and sexy foot thongs. The models sported wringlets, floral crowns and minimal make-up. Enchanting.
Rabani & Rakha
If you love it the classy Indian way, Rabani & Rakha’s collection was a synthesis of cultures, fabric and styling. With a soft and feminine color palette, it is an inspiration for the seductive woman who expresses herself in diverse spirits. Regal.
Kanika Saluja
Kanika Saluja’s collection “Annaikka” was an unapologetic celebration of bling. The sequins, the mirrors, vibrant colors, flowy silhouettes and the high buns – the collection is a mix of offbeat and contemporary. Meant for the woman who likes it bright and flashy. Flamboyant.
Pallavi Mohan
“Not So Serious”. True to its name, this collection by Pallavi Mohan is for the sophisticated fashionista who loves Subtle. The almost monochromatic color palette, tie n dye with patch work, raw edges and cable knits added a sensual feel to the collection. The side braids and the nude flawless faces displayed radiance in its most natural state. Ethereal.
Niharika Pandey
The “Back to School” collection by Niharika Pandey was absolutely fun to watch. The elements of school life came out as quirky prints which were the highlight of the collection. Not many would dare to sport the refreshing look, but we loved it. Amusing.
Shivan & Naresh
Luxury resort wear specialists, Shivan & Narresh found inspiration in Fontana’s canvases for their signature swimwear range, the Bikini Sari and the Neoprene lehenga for the summer bride. The skin hugging silhouettes added oodles of oomph to the collection. Flirtatious.
Niket & Jainee
A treat for denim lovers, Niket & Jainee’s collection was an ensemble of denimized gowns, shirts, pants and dresses. We suppose we were not the only ones to notice the peacock hues dominating the collection. Denim has been reinvented, and we quite liked it. Symphony.
Ashish N Soni
Last but definitely not the least, we loved the finale “La Dolce Vita”by Ashish N Soni. This was a red carpet event inspired by old Hollywood. The beauty of Black & White could not have been captured better for the ultra-chic & ultra-modern woman of today. Classique.
